He Needs Her, She's Still His Mom




Once again my life will be changing, stretching, flipping upside down.  Katie Jo is getting out in the next two days.
I'm very happy for her and Hunter.  He needs her and I'm so glad they will have time to bond again.
It doesn't change custody.
She'll be here for Christmas!
My son won't.
Bittersweet is the definition of my life right now and that's okay.
Everything isn't going to be wonderful all the time.  Challenges are going to come along and knock us down, kick us around, make us feel like we'll never be able to stand back up but we do!
Pray for me.
I've known Katie Jo since 2006, lived with her, and worked with her.  Thanks to modern technology people are merely the internet away these days and now she's married to my son.  She's Hunter Gossett's mother.  She's Kaydence and Bailey and Cayson's mother as well.
Katie Jo frustrates me.  Katie Jo works my last nerve.  Katie Jo talks talks talks talks talks talk talks.  LOL.  She has always called me "Mama" and Katie Jo is so much more than she sees herself.
She likes playing the victim with me, which I have a huge, loud issue with.  It drives me crazy!
Even in knowing this it would be absolutely wonderful for Katie Jo to come home.  Right now is the perfect time.
Katie Jo is not going to frustrate me.  Katie Jo is going to be a blessing to have here, with her son.  Katie Jo is going to surprise the world.
Katie Jo doesn't know it yet, but her butt is going to be sitting on that front row with me, every single Sunday.  Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!  Gonna be awesome!  She's going to get wrecked!  She wants so badly to understand, to know Jesus.  That girl doesn't have a clue what she's in for.  Live in my house, go to church.  (I know it's law, but I'm the mama)  Not gonna kill her.  That's the condition of staying with me, dumping all your life at my doorstep.  HAHAHAHAHAHA!  GRACE LIFE!  LOL.
RIDE OR DIE!!!  WORLD WIDE BABY!!!
Yup Katie Jo is going to have an encounter with grace and it's gonna wreck her face and she's never ever going to be the same!
Glory!
She's going to be here to assist with her son.  I love the way she talks to him, I can't even describe it.  His response is so primal, so beautiful, it's going to be good for him for her to come here.
He'll be out of school until after the first of the year, so they get to hang out and bond again and just be together.
I get to run the streets!  Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!  Woot woot!  Yup!  Can you say "Freedom"?

The possibilities are endless!
I might even get to go on a date!
That would be groovy!

Got me a road dawg for the streets full time!
Guess I won't be cooking by myself Saturday night, praise God.
The kitchen is a disaster!
Hunter got into the comet, it's all over the place, not his norm.  He's good about not getting into stuff, most of the time.  Anyway, the dang kitchen looks like a fire extinguisher went off in it, so now the entire thing has to be wiped down.  Power on everything!  Geez Hunter!  What's your problem!
I sweep it up, he spreads it back out, the dust pan is missing, the white one that goes with the broom, the big one is outside.  He keeps going back in there spreading it out on the floor.  Who knows?  Might need to look and see if he's drawing in it.
It'll wait.  It's the very next thing on my to do list, but it will wait until I do it.
Life is ever changing.
Katie Jo is getting out of jail.

Depression and the deep deep well of hope

The other day I did a video about depression and it got such a warm welcome, I thought it might be time to share my journey into and out of depression. It may help someone else see out of the darkness, to reach past the pain, to strive to live in spite of. First you should know and understand all drugs are mind altering, chemical altering and mental illness is closely linked to substance abuse. At the time my world began to spiral out of control, I worked in the clubs, had been homeless on and off since 1988 when my mother died.  My two youngest boys were in Florida with their dad, my oldest with my grandmother, atleast I think they were.  My memory doesn't get to serve me as well as it has in the past.
